Rebecca Vick
Rebecca Vick is a 27 year old resident of Southern Pines, North Carolina. She worked for over five years as assistant trainer to Grand Prix Dressage rider Jim Koford, riding all levels and types of horses, including several breeding stallions. She has also furthered her education through clinics with Jane Weatherwax, Lilo Fore, and Lynn Kimball-Davis.
Rebecca has trained and competed multiple horses at FEI Levels, and since the Equestrian Star competition has begun her own training and sales business. She is currently training and teaching all levels of horses and riders at Karen and Ed Brisson's Good Deeds Farm. Rebecca was recently chosen to attend the Young Dressage Horse Trainer's Forum and looks forward to debuting her mare, Zarena, at Prix St. George this fall and competing the Brisson's Weltman in the Young Horse Developing FEI classes in the future.
The biggest highlight of Rebecca's career thus far was competing in the America's Next Equestrian Star contest with Robert Dover. During this competition, she had the opportunity to work with many world renowned instructors and riders, in addition to learning from experts in saddle fitting, nutrition, and farrier work. It was truly a life changing experience that enabled her to take her training and knowledge to a much higher level in a short amount of time.
